Alzheimer’s Outreach Center of South Georgia is an in-home respite care center that offers day care for those with dementia. Alzheimer’s Outreach Center has support groups for families, community education programs, individual consultation, information packets and annual training conferences. The organization is the only service of its type within a 100 miles. Day care and respite services cost very little and educational programs are usually presented at no charge. Alzheimer’s Outreach Center has been a member of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce since 2011. “The chamber offers networking, the ability to post events on its Web site, training, use of the boardrooms for meetings and gives credibility to our organization.”
