Lunch & Learn – Grow Your Small Business with SBA Loans

The April 19 Lunch & Learn sponsored by Synovus will feature information on how to obtain a Small Business Administration (SBA) guaranteed loan through your local lender.  SBA loans can be used for business purposes from business startup to expansion, including the purchase of long-term fixed assets, operating capital and business acquisitions.  Benefits of SBA guaranteed loans include lower down payments and longer amortizations with no renewals.

The program will be facilitated by Lisa Morgan, vice president, SBA lender, Synovus.

The MLK Dinner

The 2023 MLK Dinner, presented by Colony Bank, is a celebration of the ideals of unity inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and is hosted by the Albany Area Chamber Foundation and Albany State University, in partnership with the King Day Celebration Committee, and features honored guest and speaker Venessa Harrison, president of AT&T Southeast Coastal States.

Attendants of the July 26 Cyber Security Lunch & Learn, led by Chamber member CTSI, will learn basic knowledge on how to protect yourself and your business from cyber threat, including:

  • Best practices for password policies
  • How to recognize phishing attempts and deceptive links
  • Potential risks of accessing storage devices such as foreign USB drives and unproven network locations
  • Modern virus protection and emerging viral trends and technology

Military Affairs Rise N Shine Breakfast
