Star Business of the Week: Communities in Schools of Georgia Albany/Dougherty County

The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Communities In Schools of Georgia in Albany/Dougherty County​​ as this week’s Star Business of the Week.

Communities In Schools works directly within local school systems to provide wraparound services that help remove barriers to education. Their team supports students and families with resources, mentorship, and assistance—ensuring students have what they need to stay in school and succeed. Their work plays a key role in helping reduce dropout rates and strengthen student success.

Their impact extends throughout the region, serving Dougherty, Terrell, and Sumter counties, with plans to expand into Valdosta schools in the future.
