
Phoebe Family Medicine Residency (PFMR) commemorated the graduation of its Class of 2026 with a special ceremony recognizing the dedication, accomplishments, and future plans of its residents, faculty, and staff. The event included the presentation of intern certificates, recognition of outstanding residents and faculty, and a celebration of the program’s continued commitment to training compassionate, highly skilled family physicians.
The ceremony featured remarks from Phoebe and residency leadership, highlighting the impact of the program on both the medical community and the patients it serves across southwest Georgia.
“This class has shown remarkable resilience, teamwork, and a genuine passion for caring for others. Each of these graduates leaves our program not only with the clinical skills needed to succeed, but with a deep sense of purpose and commitment to their patients and communities. We are excited to see the impact they will make as they take this next step in their careers,” said Clifford Dun, MD, PFMR Program Director.
Graduates were recognized for their achievements and prepared to begin the next chapter of their medical careers in diverse healthcare settings.
In addition to celebrating the graduating class, PFMR honored individuals for their exceptional contributions to medical education, mentorship, and patient care:

- Residency Teacher of the Year: Lindsey Wells, MD
- Community Faculty of the Year: Aedan McDonough, MD
- In-Patient Faculty of the Year: Koosh Desai, MD
- Advanced Practice Provider: Gregory Steele, FNP-BC
- Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) Residency Teacher Award: Jordan Bradwell, DO
- Unsung Hero Award: Aseem Parasher, MD
“We’re fortunate to have outstanding faculty members and other mentors at Phoebe and our wider medical community who share so much of their time, knowledge and insight to make sure our residents are prepared for long, successful careers as caring physicians. As we celebrate our graduates, it’s also nice to take a little time to honor those teachers as well,” Dr. Dunn said.
Since the Phoebe Family Medicine Residency program began in 1993, it has graduated 184 family medicine residents and continues to play a vital role in developing the next generation of family physicians. Through hands-on training, strong leadership, and a deep commitment to serving the region, PFMR remains a cornerstone of healthcare excellence in southwest Georgia.
