49th Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast ~ February 5th, 2026

The ALDON Committee wishes to thank you for your previous interest in the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast and extends to you an invitation to our 49th annual event.  The breakfast is sponsored by the Albany Dougherty National Prayer Committee (ALDON). Note the same new location will be held 6:30 AM Thursday February 5th, 2026 at Sherwood Baptist Church in their Fellowship Building on corner 2201 Whispering Pines Rd and Doncaster Drive Albany, Georgia 31707.

The purpose of the breakfast is to join in prayer with leaders from our city and county to bring us together for honest and open communications.   “If not me then who” as responsible citizens of our community we must lead by example in all areas strengthened by God’s hand.  This year our featured speakers will be: Dr. Joe Pettigrew, Pastor, author, leadership speaker. Sponsor of In the Zone and the Daily Huddle devotionals for encouragement and building faith..    He and wife Trudy have three children, 7 grandchildren and have been married 51 years serving together.   Mayor of Albany, Bo Dorough, will address the community on his plans for 2026. He and wife Bonny are members of First Presbyterian Church Albany.  Our Theme:  Let your life be a witness to your faith.   James 2: 17-18 So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.  But someone will say, “you have faith and I have works”.  Show me your faith apart from your works, and I by my works will show you, my faith.  We must continue to take positive action when needed to make Albany the Good Life City in the future.

Tickets are available to purchase at ALDON 2406 Ashford Drive Albany, Ga. 31721.  Mail your $23 for each ticket or you may wish to purchase a table of 8 for $184. Tickets are also available for purchase at the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce 225 West Broad Ave. Albany, Ga. Call 229-349-5474 before going. You may contact Larry Price, Chair for further information.  Only 320 tickets are available for purchase and reservations are required. Deadline will be January 30th, 2026 or when tickets are sold outso get your tickets early.
