Paralegal ad/job description

Albany-based workers’ compensation defense firm has an immediate opening for a workers’ compensation paralegal. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to multi-task without direct supervision.

Responsibilities:

• High level of case management.
• Communicate with clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, paralegals, medical providers and others via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery responses and correspondence.
• Draft and submit Worker’s Comp Board forms on Georgia State Board of Workers’ Comp Integrated Claims Management System (ICMS).
• Request medical records.
• Schedule appointments, depositions, and mediations.
• Maintain attorney calendar.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1+ years of workers’ compensation experience preferred.
• Experience with tort cases
• Minimum High School Graduate some college preferred.
• Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, SharePoint.
• Experience with Clio preferred.
• Must be organized and capable of multi-tasking, and perform assignments with speed and accuracy, creating a professional work product with attention to detail.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
