Blue Star Families Fall Festival Event

What a great afternoon bringing our military community together! The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee and Blue Star Families were proud to welcome more than 60 military-connected attendees, including active-duty service members, veterans, retirees, military families, and MCLB Albany leaders and their families, to the Blue Star Families Fall Festival at Sherwood Baptist Church Legacy Park.

With 65 people in attendance and six community vendors, the event was filled with connection, family fun, burgers, hot dogs, and bounce houses for the kids. Community partners included ASU Student Veterans of America, Flint RiverQuarium, Navy Federal Credit Union, Workforce Southwest Georgia, Albany Area YMCA, and the Boys & Girls Clubs.

A special thank-you to Chassidy Jackson, who arrived with reinforcements from ASU Student Veterans of America! They spent the afternoon connecting with attendees and sharing information about Albany State University.

We are grateful to the Albany Area Chamber Military Affairs Blue Star Subcommittee, our community partners, volunteers, and Sherwood Baptist Church Legacy Park for helping make this event a success. Your support makes a difference in welcoming and supporting the military families who are part of our community.
