The Alzheimer’s Outreach Center provides respite for caregivers and trusted care for those with dementia, and educates the community regarding dementia and the beneficial resources available. Alzheimer’s Outreach Center is the only service of its kind within a 100-mile radius and is the only outlet for extensive, comprehensive educational materials and personal support including a monthly support group with 35 participants. This Albany Area Chamber 2018 Nonprofit of the Year nominee provides services to 2,500 through the six services that it offers. In April 2018, Alzheimer’s Outreach Center celebrated 30 years of service to the community.
